Contest positions
Timers -- Follow the picker to give "time left" and "time's up".
Gleaners -- gather ears missed by pickers (left on stalk, on ground, or missed the wagon), missed ears. Gleanings are part of the Scoring Formula
Possibly wrestle the weighing barrels onto the scale (local firefighters are the usual volunteers).
Supervise the kids and family games area. The current volunteer would like some time to collect pictures of how much visible husk relates to percentages
in the Scoring Formula and how husk moisture varies throughout the day
Visit the contest and consider competing (there is a five minute per person, three person pick that is free - see Visitor Page
Print off and post the posters on the Contest Page
